Subj:   Dirty Read in teradata

From:   Jepamony, Johnpaul

Hi Experts,

Clarification on Access lock and Dirty read ACCESS LOCK-- Affectionately called a Dirty Read lock. Allows a SELECT to read data that is locked for WRITE. It is a very minimal form of locking.

Now please clarify my below query.

So dirty read is where I can see the latest record what is being locked for write lock being released OR I will see the old record?

Regards,

John paul J
