Hi Jeeva,

You have defined field as Char(20), so it will take 20 bytes.

But you have used only 5 byes out of that, remaining 15 will filled with spaces.

This is the reason 3rd query is not working and 4th query Trim is working fine.

Please use Varchar(20), you will get desired output without trim.
