Subj:   Errlimit doesn't work with FASTLOAD...

From:   Wadhwa, Vivek

All,

I am using TD release 13.10.04.07. I am trying to load a file with 4 records out of which one record is having data length issue.

I have the requirement to reject the record having data length issue using FASTLOAD utility.

I have defined the statement ERRLIMIT to resolve the issue But it doesn't work..

Do anybody have any solution...

     .LOGON SSYYSSTTEEMM/LLOOGGOONN1 ;

     DELETE FROM TTMMPPDDBB.tab11 ALL;

     DROP TABLE TTMMPPDDBB.tab11_ERR1;
     DROP TABLE TTMMPPDDBB.tab11_ERR2;

     ERRLIMIT 5;

     BEGIN LOADING TTMMPPDDBB.tab11
     ERRORFILES TTMMPPDDBB.tab11_ERR1,
                TTMMPPDDBB.tab11_ERR2
     checkpoint 100000;

     SET RECORD VARTEXT "|";

     DEFINE
     ENO             ( VARCHAR(20)),
     ENAME           ( VARCHAR(50)),
     ADDR            ( VARCHAR(100)),
     CRI             ( VARCHAR(1) )

     FILE=/appl4/dev/edwe4/exec/fastload/abcd.dat;

     INSERT INTO TTMMPPDDBB.tab11.*;

     .END LOADING;

     .QUIT

Below is the data file to load the data.

     101|abcd|new addr|Y
     102|dfgg|newaddr1|N
     103|mnop|new addr3|NA
     104|ijkl|new addr2|N

Thanks,

Vivek
