Hi Forum,

This may be a repeat question in the forum, however there was no proper solution that I saw on the internet. My sysdba password expired. When I tried to change it and then log on to the Teradata using SYSDBA, it throws an error 8017 : the userid , password or account string is invalid. I tried the following command too after logging as DBA and it didn't work.

     MODIFY USER SYSDBA AS? PASSWORD = password

Could anyone help me ASAP, as I cannot have my SYSDBA locked for long.
