Hello All,

Please correct my understanding about shared nothing architecture for the given scenario.

If we install Teradata RDBMS on a Laptop. Can we assume as below Hard disk is Disk arrays (Perm space) - Correct my understanding RAM is Spool and Temp space shared by all Amps - Correct my understanding

1. How each Amp makes use of this memory? is it shared with other Amps? Or Manual allocation of memory need to be done for each AMP? In case if we allocate the memory, when do we allocate it during installation?

2. My assumption is "shared nothing architecture" is applicable for Teradata SMP and MPP platforms.

Thanks
