Subj:   Re: Debugging a procedure

From:   David Clough

I'd love to be able to do this, so I'm keen to know what I'm doing wrong ...

Suppose I've got a Stored Procedure called 'DATA_SUBSET_P'

I create the Table called 'tracetst', but does it have to be in the same Database as the Procedure ?

Then, setting the Trace with 'SET SESSION FUNCTION TRACE USING 'T' FOR TABLE tracetst;'

Is it literally this, or is the letter 'T' replaced by the name of the Procedure, I wonder ?

Then I run the Procedure .... but does that Procedure need to reference that Trace Table ?

I've tried it exactly as describe but nothing is returned from the GTT, so I suspect I'm missing something.

Can you help ?

P.S. If it's all nicely described in one of the manuals, I'll gladly read it not a problem.
