We are setting up Viewpoint email alerts in our environment. While configuring "Delivery settings->Emails" , the SMTP test is failing. It gives following error,
"Timeout - remote host did not respond".
I believe that it?s not able to find the SMTP host on the network. However, I confirmed that SMTP host is pingable. Even , we are able to send mail via postfix(mailx) service ?from the server using the same SMTP host.
Any suggestion what could be wrong with our configuration?
