Thanks indeed Mike. That was helpful. I do have the option of connecting via .net but then unlike ODBC , it does not like remembering my password. I know its after Xmas ...but is it poss. to have the cake & eat it too... in the sense of getting .net to remember passwords like ODBC , then I'd be happy to switch to .net.
