Subj:   Re: Does SET Table with NUPI allow duplicates?

From:   Kenneth Hansen

Sravan,

For Teradata a row is only a duplicate if every column is identical.

Typically this occurs where the extract from source has insufficient attributes to make each row identical. Loading to a SET table will filter out those duplicates, loading to a MULTISET will allow those duplicates to persist.

A UPI or NUPI applies criteria only in respect of the column(s) comprised in the PI.

Good luck,

Kenneth Hansen
