Hi,

Teradata Database cannot be classified only in terms of No. of nodes and amps, It basically depends on what application will run on the database, what type of nodes you are choosing and Architecture too matters here.

Depends upon node type and configuration you can decide which one is best suitable for your Organization/Architecture.

We have a two node's system on 1500 nodes which occupies max perm of 70+TB and occupied with 60TB we basically use this for archiving and have a minimal transaction on this database compromising with CPU and response time.

Thanks

Machha
