Subj:   Re: Fastload has no worktable and logtable?

From:   DWellman

Hi,

There is a system-wide restart log that Fastload uses. It is (I think) in database Sysadmin.Fastlog (check the Fastload manual under BEGIN LOGGING).

Fastload does a different job and works in a different way to Multiload. ML can work against a populated table and therefore uses the work table as a 'staging table'. FL only runs against an empty table, so it has no need for a staging table, hence it doesn't use one.

Cheers,

Dave
