Subj:   Re: Problem connecting SQL Assistant V13

From:   Dempsey, Mike

That sounds like a version miss-match between the .Net Framework and Data Provider.

Version 13.0.0.x of SQL Assistant expects at least the following versions of these components:

Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0

.Net Data Provider for Teradata 12.0.0.1

But if you install a newer version of the .Net Data Provider for Teradata you must also:

ensure that you check the option to install the policy files also

maybe install either Service Pack 1 or 2 of the .Net Framework

(Depends what version of the Data Provider you install)

I would recommend (to be safe) that you install either

Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 (This includes 2.0 SP2)

Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 SP2

And you may be safer removing SQLA, and .Net Data Provider for Teradata before installing one of the above Framework versions, and then reinstalling them afterwards.

(Note that the latest patch for SQLA 13.0 is 13.0.0.15)
