Hi,

I am new to Teradata and trying to understand access rights through roles. Here is what I am doing,

1) Create a Database DB.

2) Create a user DB_USER with perm=0;

3) Create role DB_Access_role.

4) Grant DB_Access_role to DB_USER with admin option;

5) Grant create table, drop table, ins, sel, upd,del on DB to DB_Access_Role

When I log on to DBS through DB_USER and issue a query

     CT DB.Table1(a int);

I get Error 3254: The user does not have create table acess to Database DB. Can anyone tell me what am I missing here??
