Hi

Scenario: We have an aggregate table (call it Agg1) with Fact and Dimension data.

Our TD architect is proposing to create a dimension model by creating views to separate out Facts (Call it F1) and Dimensions (Call them D1, D2 and D3) from this table. I would rather not discuss WHY questions!!

My concern is that any Query using view F1, D1, D2 and D3 will perform multiple read accesses to the same base (Agg1).

My question is: Will TD optimiser figure out same base (Agg1) table is accessed and hence perform a single disk read?
