In the SQL you sent. of the four places where "(title '')" appears, 3 are correct in that they are using two single quotation marks. The third of the four, however, contains a single double quotation mark, which is the cause of the error message you report receiving.

To get two line output, why not use two separate SQL statements? (I am assuming this is in a BTEQ script...)

Again, assuming you are using BTEQ, I think it is possible to format it in such a way to center it. Don't remember the derails offhand, but check the manual.

P.S. I changed the double quotation to two single quotation marks and it worked.
