Subj:   Adding a partition to a table

From:   mjrodriguezp

Hi,

How can I add a partition to a table already partitioned (without dropping it) ?

This is the table already partitioned :

     CREATE MULTISET TABLE bdd_blanqueo.BL_HIS_SALDOS ,NO FALLBACK ,
          NO BEFORE JOURNAL,
          NO AFTER JOURNAL,
          CHECKSUM = DEFAULT
          (
           fec_vigencia DATE FORMAT 'YYYY-MM-DD',
           cod_persona INTEGER,
           sdo_final DECIMAL(15,2))
     PRIMARY INDEX ( cod_persona )
     PARTITION BY RANGE_N(fec_vigencia BETWEEN DATE '2007-12-31' AND
     DATE '2010-01-01' EACH INTERVAL '1' DAY );

Note that the interval ends in 2010-01-01

And, what I need to get :

     CREATE MULTISET TABLE bdd_blanqueo.BL_HIS_SALDOS ,NO FALLBACK ,
          NO BEFORE JOURNAL,
          NO AFTER JOURNAL,
          CHECKSUM = DEFAULT
          (
           fec_vigencia DATE FORMAT 'YYYY-MM-DD',
           cod_persona INTEGER,
           sdo_final DECIMAL(15,2))
     PRIMARY INDEX ( cod_persona )
     PARTITION BY RANGE_N(fec_vigencia BETWEEN DATE '2007-12-31' AND
     DATE '2020-01-01' EACH INTERVAL '1' DAY );

The end of the interval in 2020.

Any way without recreating it?

Thanks!!
