I was not aware that SQL Assistant 12 would not install on Windows7.

No testing of 12.0 was done on Windows 7.

Some testing of 13.0 was performed. It installs fine and has no major issues that we have found.

This version will also work fine with older Database software versions. It does look slightly different in places but generally works/looks as before.

I would suggest checking out the online presentation at Teradata Education Network, or the new features presentation on the Teradata Developer Network in order to understand the changes and enhancements in 13.0. I would also recommend downloading the latest version from the Download center rather than using the version on the TTU CDs. (Note that if you have a large History database it may take a very long time to start up the first time you run it. [.Net apps are slow to start anyway] In this case you should apply a History filter to prevent it from loading all history rows every time you open the application. I would suggest something like 'Most recent 30 days' or some such filter.)
