Hi

The requirement is to FTP the input files from an HTTPS server (a Sharepoint) accessed through an URL to an UNIX box. The data from these files in Unix is then loaded into Teradata tables using Mutiload feature of Teradata.

The issue is with the first part mentioned above. My questions are:

1. Is it possible to FTP text files/CSV files from HTTPS server to Unix box using Unix Shell scripting. The HTTPS server is accessed through an URL and logged in using an Userid and Password.

2. I heard this can be done through PERL as well. But as I have not worked on PERL, I am not aware of the same. Could anyone provide the Shell Script or PERL code for the same.

I know this is bit out of Teradata frame. But I would appreciate anyone's help.
