Is it important to have commit statement if I have using Teradata SQL Assistant into ANSI Mode?

I know, there is no need of commit statement if I use Teradata SQL assistant into NONE ANSI MODE but have some confusion for ANSI Mode.

I posted a similar question in this thread:

Michael explained that at the time there was no switch in the ODBC driver which would allow the ODBC user (via SQLA or any other tool using the ODBC driver) to disable the AutoCommit in ANSI mode. At least that clarified the situation for me. It was not the full ANSI mode but at least you knew exactly what the difference was. SQLA is good for testing the behavior of ODBC clients, and BTEQ can be used for the rest.

I have not checked whether the recent ODBC drivers have the AutoCommit switch. If your tests still show that they don't then the situation is still the same.
