If you are willing to live with a Unix configured output file that you would read into your windows environment, you might consider downloading Microsoft's officially approved Unix to your Windows PC/server. This is called Services for Unix (SFU) and is downloadable from the MS corporate website... just search for SFU. While it is true Unix, it runs under Windows and files are visible from either the Unix side, or from Windows Explorer. I am fairly confident that SFU has the named pipes function/utility. All other Unix functions operate normally under SFU on Windows.
