Don't even THINK of dropping those tables! They are part of the system initialization. Yes, they may be useless, but they take up very little space, and dropping them may lead to unexpected problems or void your warranty. ;-)

Consult the section "Cleaning Out Frequently Updated Tables" in the Database Administration manual. It lists tables that can and should be cleaned up regularly.
