Larry,

You are correct, i see older versions for tdusr32.dll, wincli32.dll and I renamed both of them to xx_* and now I could open a bteq window. I have below entry in my hosts file.

     127.0.0.1       localhost localtdcop1

Looks like things are working now. But I don't remember seeing any errors during TD6.1 uninstall and I'm still wondering why the uninstall didn't remove these entries.
