We currently "push" password changes to both systems from our corporate security DB (the privileged user under which this runs is parent of the
"real" users). Corporate policy is that password changes for any system, not just Teradata, are to be made only via central security interface.
Sort of pseudo single sign-on. We can't actually stop users from doing MODIFY USER or SQL Assistant password change dialog, but those changes
won't stick because we periodically reset all passwords to match corporate.
Longer term plan is to convert to external directory-based authentication rather than TD2 username/password.
