Yes Lakhwant:

I agree with you on a UPI if for no other reason it shows the optimizer how many rows are in the table. This is especially important when you have a very small table - ie. fewer rows than the number of AMPs.

I can sort of see your point regarding the USI. At the same time, if you have stats on the UPI then the optimizer has a count. Stats on the USI (primary key columns of logical design) would be most valuable when the table has a NUPI in order to have a row count.
