Hi Kishore:

Regardless of the identity column issue, you need to look at your view a bit more closely because you are joining an employee id with a department id. I would think joining a department id with a department id might be a bit more meaningful.

Although this does not solve the identity issue, I hope it helps with the logic part of the issue.
