I had this problem a few month ago. This email from Baraht Verma helped me that time:

Compile Teradata Stored Procedures and UDFs without buying a compiler:

* Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable (exe, 4/9/03, 24MB)

* Then install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Software Development Kit (exe, 4/9/03, 109MB)

* Then execute Registry Update for Windows 2000 (reg, 1/9/04, 1KB)

* Or execute Registry Update for Windows XP and Windows 2003 (reg, 9/9/04, 1KB)

Also, copy C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v1.1\Bin\nmake.exe to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\bin\.

Also, enter following in a Teradata Command Prompt window:

     cd \Program Files\NCR\Tdat\LTDBMS\bin
     cufconfig -i

Registry Update for Windows 2000 (compilerw2k.reg) contains the following text:

     Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

     [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1]
     "InstallDir"="C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\\"

     [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1\Setup\VC]
     "ProductDir"="C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\\Vc7\\"

Registry Update for Windows XP and Windows 2003 (compilerxp.reg) contains the following text:

     Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
