The reason I wanted to experiment with CHAR2HEX is I read about NULL issues that I was thinking my be avoided because I believe NULL does have a HEX value that could be compared as NULL = NULL.

Also, the other suggestions did not feel much more efficient than just concatenating all the raw data together.
