Subj:   Rollback & Recovery Issue

From:   Kamin Shah

I had a table with 22 million rows and a single table join index defined on top of it. I tried to delete all from the table a few days ago and I saw that only 2 Amps out of 12 were working. I gave it about 6 hours before I hit the abort button from Performance Monitor. That did me no good. So now it took 2-3 days for the session to be released and the rollback to finish. I come back today and things look great but the issue is if I try to create a table in that database, the ID I am using to create the table is blocked by DBC. I am not sure what I can do.

I had originally planned to come in today and using recovery manager, try to kill the rollback but as the rollback is done, I cannot do that anymore but I need to create tables in this database and not sure what I can do.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Kamin Shah
