I'm trying to set up e-mail alerts within Teradata Manager but with little success. Have had it working successfully previously with no issues so I suspect our local security policies (outside Teradata) have been tightened up.

Error message in the TM Service Log is:

     'isservice.   540.3840  ERROR: AlertMail - Impersonate: LogonUser
     failed:: Error 1326: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
     (alertmail.cpp+291)'

     Windows XP logon is UserA, logon to TM Service is TMUser01.

I think I will need to go to Fujitsu who support our environment but if anybody can shed any light on this error as to exactly what is happening behind the scenes, it will be much appreciated.
