------------------------------------------------------

I have a process that I use to load reference tables.

I have extracted portion of the process which generates the MLOAD script.

The process is a MS-Dos Program and can be easily changed to UNIX program.

Setup:

Step 1: Save all the files that I have attached in any directory and run the following command

     ren GenMload.txt GenMload.bat
     ren Layout.txt Layout.bat
     ren Out.txt Out.bat
     ren UpdIns.txt UpdIns.bat

Step2: Maintaing logon.txt with relevant logon information

Step3: Run the below command

     C:\Vindoc\UTILITY\GenMload>GenMload.bat EDW_DBA_DB ContentOwner t.txt

First parameter is the Database Name

Second Parameter is the Table Name for which you are generating Mload script

Third parameter is the file that you plan to load.

LoadSb,ml is the final MLOAD script.

You can customize the MLOAD script by editing GenMload.bat and UpdIns.bat (If you want only INSERTS then you will not need this step).

I hope it is helpful.

Thanks,

Vinay Bagare
