V2R6 fixed the long rollback cases except NUSI, and 6.2 fixed NUSIs. That relieves the #1 TJ issue which is long rollback. (DR 97223 Block Optimized NUSI rollback also DR 66973 Block Optimized USI maintenance and rollback).

Insert/update operations have been made performant enough that the can be done with TJ for consistency and still hit performance levels like MLoad.

There are further enhancements to bulk MERGE in 12.0.
