Anomous person,

Incremental backup has always been available in TERADATA as Journal backup. It has significant cost to the database performance so it is hardly ever used in production environment.

There are actually selective implementation of this type of backup used by some.

You can look at before and after journal in either database design or performance management for details on journaling. The ARCHIVER and RECOVERY manual has chapters on how to take journal backup one you decide that is the option to use in your environment.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
