I think I would experiment with either MultiLoad, TPump or FastExport because they all have the Support Environment. In it you can do all types of SQL including DDL. It also has the ability to .ACCEPT parameters from a single record flat file. These could include not only the start and end dates, but also the table and database names.

Using this technique, you would not do a .BEGIN and therefore never really run the actual utility.

Just a thought.
