No. But it IS true that if you "enable parsing" or "allow use of ODBC extensions", the ODBC driver may quietly change your CREATE TABLE statements before submitting them to the DBMS. That includes changes based on DateTimeFormat settings when in TERADATA session mode - and the default DateTimeFormat is III for Teradata-specific backward-compatible INTEGER/FLOAT versus AAA for native data types compatible with ANSI.
