Though your data does not show it....I think you are on the right track in suspecting the transaction in question is running out of spool on one or more AMP(s)... If it did, then there should be an entry in the errorlog on the date in question to the effect that the system aborted a transaction because it could not satisfy its spool needs. Along the same lines you may also see mini-cyl packs or defrag attempts in the errorlog for that date which would also indicate the system may had some issue trying to service the request/transaction during the time it was active...

Assuming your system is not constrained or being overtaxed (i.e. too many other competing requests for limited system resources) then ultimately, you may need to take a closer look at this transaction, perhaps in real-time while it is actively running to see where it is running into a problem.
