Subj:   Re: SQL Assistant Question: Access Violation

From:   Dempsey, Mike

The problem will not be related to the type of Access database used for history. If an error occured writing to History the message would be 'DoQuery-15' not 'DoQuery-16'.

Once the database is created it remains in the same format unless you use Access itself to convert it to another format. The options only apply when creating a new history database, or creating new databases for Exports.

You do not need to have any version of Access installed on your PC. SQLA itself contains all the dlls required to create/write Access databases.

The options are:

Access 95/97 - This can not store Unicode data.

Access 2000-2003 - This stores all character data in Unicode. (and therefore creates larger files)
