Subj:   Re: SQL Assistant Question: Access Violation

From:   Dempsey, Mike

Just to let you know, the latest TTU8.0 versions are:

SQL Assistant 7.0.0.4
ODBC 3.4.0.12

although neither of these has a fix for anything like you reported.

DoQuery-16 puts it at the very end of the query processing. Unless you are using Connect/Disconnect mode (in which case it will be disconnecting) or Exporting data (in which case it will be closing the file or database) it will just be resetting the state of the tool buttons, and maybe setting off the 'beep' to let you know it is complete.

If you are using Connect/Disconnect, Export, or Audible Notification try switching these off to see if the problem still occurs.

Also execute the 'verify.exe' application found in the directory where you installed SQL Assistant. The log file might indicate that some of the dlls were missing or at a lower version. (That would indicate either an install problem with SQLA or that required software [probably ICU or TeraGSS] has not been installed.)
