your plan sounds cool to me .....

Now if you are also a Unix shell scripter (that's if you are the sort of guy who grep's for a needle in the hay stack ) then you might also enjoy giving the search and replace job to sed along with probably a text file of table names and corresponding views ........ ( that would spare you the trouble of doing a manual search and replace individually for all the view names )
