also do not forget what will happen in the future ....

What do you do, if you have to copy the table for whatever reason - and there may be some - ( redefining compression, eventually redefining PI, ..)

--->> The IDENTITY column may not be unique anymore .....

I am using the IDENTITY column only while the import process. I create the key as a combination of a ID_LOAD and the IDENTITY col and is saved as a integer or decimal.

Do not use the "IDENTITY column" in a production table....this may cause a lor of troubles ...
