For a PPI table the base table RowID in a secondary index includes Partition Number, RowHash, and Uniqueness (10 bytes instead of 8).

I don't think the Database Design manual was updated to explicitly show this difference until V2R6.1 (November 2005 release), but it has been true since the introduction of PPI in V2R5.0.
