Subj:   Removal of FORMAT clauses

From:   Woodrow, Steven C

I'm hoping this question doesn't end up being as stupid as it sounds to me, and I have done what I can to not receive RTFM responses. . . .

But.

How do you remove a FORMAT clause with an ALTER TABLE statement?

I have been able to modify a FORMAT, or add a FORMAT to existing columns with the ADD COLUMN phrase.

But, I have not been able to find a way to eliminate one.

Has anyone had to do this?

The alternative, naturally, is to drop and recreate all tables. Or to drop the column, and re-add it without the format. This starts to become overwhelming in scope.

Thank you.
