I've had somebody complain and so I'm going to drop this thread.

It's not so much a complaint as whinging. The bottom line is that somebody is trying to leverage this thread so that they can promote their product in another thread. My interpretation of their argument is that TSM isn't a core Teradata product and since I permitted this thread, it would only be fair if I helped them to promote their product (off-line, but they still expect me to invest my time and absorb the cost of their promotion).

It's not going to happen. With real regret, I'm far too busy to fight with them and it's easiest for me to simply drop this thread.

I'm serious about the prohibition of against product/service marketing/promotion/recommendation. If you can't or won't comply with the prohibition, then let me know and I'll be glad to drop your membership.
