Hi Alistair,

One easy way to get an approximate size if to check the size of the table before creating the SI and then checking the size after you create the index. I have used this method whenever I need to. Problem is if the table is huge and takes a long ime to create the SI. Then dropping the SI just to determine the size does not make much sense.

But with some preplanning....
