I normally load such files via a named FIFO in UNIX ( I'll do an awk transform or something like that on the original file to filter out any unnecessary records or do any data transform and send it to the named FIFO which is used by fastload/mload as input )

I think the same can be achieved via inmod (It's just that my old habits are not going away and I am still learning :) )
