Thanks Geoffry. I must say I appreciate the helpfulness of folk on this forum.

Is checkpoint frequency going to mostly affect resource usage on the Teradata side or can it influence tresource usage on the server (mainframe) used to run MLOAD? What's the best way to change the checkpoint frequency?
