Subj:   Re: Stored procedures results

From:   Geoffrey Rommel

I have just started exploring the stored procedures and after working extensively with batch scripts for 5 years have found out that there is no way of capturing the intermediate results in the body of the SP. What a disappointment !!

Yes, annoying, isn't it? The only way to see intermediate results is to put them in a separate work table. This would work best if you were just writing an occasional log message.

Procedures have their place, but I generally discourage their use, and this is one reason why.
