If these 50 separate calls come from 50 different users then session pools would seem to be the answer.

If the 50 calls are all work being done for one user then the answer would be to batch them up into a single request, or if not possible because some contain DDL, connect a session and issue the 50 calls (or n 'sets' of calls) then disconnect. There is no requirement that every request has to have its own logon/logoff.
