Subj:   Re: MultiLoad from Informatica

From:   Stacey.Roach

Is there any information in the ldrlog generated by mload?

Here's some information from Informatica's knowledge base:

"WRT_8174 Error while flushing the buffer to output file. Error message is [Broken pipe]" running Teradata MultiLoad ("mload") session

Problem Description:

After loading a large number of rows (~390000 rows) to a Teradata target table using mload the session fails with the following errors:

WRITER_1_2_1> WRT_8216 External loader error. Broken pipe
WRITER_1_2_1> WRT_8215 External loader error. The External loader process
     [25092] exited prematurely.
WRITER_1_2_1> WRT_8174 Error while flushing the buffer to output file
[...]. Error message is [Broken pipe], data buffer

-------------------------------------------------------------
Solution:

To resolve this set the check point to "0" (zero) in the loader properties of the external loader.
