If you are trying to extract data from a table and save it to an XML file you can use SQL Assistant.

First execute your Select statement to fetch the data into the Answerset window.

Then click in the Answerset window and use the File, Save As menu.

Then enter a file name and select the File Type of 'XML Document'.
