You can create a different custom.syn file for each user if you really wanted to (or had the time to do it)
I personally have a custom.syn file containing a set of parameterized queries that I run frequently. I could simply keep them in the history file ... but then I would have to scroll through the window (or use 'Find') every time I wanted to run one ... and run the risk of accidentally deleting one. Its is easier to simply open Query Builder and click on the report I want.
Note that if anyone from your company is going to Partners I will be doing a presentation on SQL Assistant. They can pick up the handouts for you, or after the conference, the presentation will be available online. (This may include features and tips you are not aware of.)
